The Vitpilen 401 is a toned down version of the iconic Vitpilen 701. Also, you are in for a big surprise - you don't have to wait any longer to see this beauty of a motorcycle in action because they're coming downtown in 2019! Well, a year doesn't seem long enough, right? The bare essential styling of a cafe racer, the Husqvarna India is sure to leave all its riders the ride of their life!

Husqvarna India - Vitpilen & Svartpilen 401 Specs:

Vitpilen 401 is powered by a 375 cc single-cylinder engine, developing a 37 Nm torque. The power is delivered to the wheels through a 6-speed gearbox coupled to the engine.

Vitpilen 401, developing 44 hp (32kW) and a 37 Nm torque, is accessible at lower RPM. The best part of this motorcycle is that the 6-speed gearbox is tuned for an urban classic ride. Ride-By-Wire system delivers sharps responses and a tamed feel to the whole experience.

The power-to-weight ratio is sure to excite the experienced riders as the lightweight body aids in greater maneuverability. The exhaust note of the Vitpilen 401 is like music to the ear.

The exhaust system consists of 2 components - a steel pre-silencer and a final silencer which is made from aluminum. The silencer is designed to go well with the overall styling of the bike.

Vitpilen 401 is a pleasure for the urban crowd, the WP performance suspensions are set to give the highest possible level of quality and craftsmanship.

The front provides a 43 mm open cartridge forks, and the rear assembly is a progressive damping system connected directly to the swing-arm.

Both the components offer dynamic handling perfectly suitable for the challenging urban commute. Ride-By-Wire, ABS and slipper clutch add to the safety and comfort of the bike.

Svartpilen 401, on the other hand, goes with the scrambler styling, narrow bodywork,  and minimalistic sub-frame.

The handlebar is raised, sitting position is now upright, there is a luggage mount option and those beautiful off-road tyres give it a more rugged look. The engine is derived from 2017 Duke 390 and is perfectly tuned for the urban commute.

Both Vartpilen 401 and Svartpilen 401 feature a single pod, a fully digital instrument console with Bluetooth like the Duke 390. Now, are we happy or are we happy?

The price of these two models are not confirmed yet but definitely they will be 2.50 lakh onwards, we will update it once it is confirmed.
How they started & History of Husqvarna:
We went down the history lane and found some of the few crazy things about Husqvarna for you to read about, because why not? So, Husqvarna is a Swedish Company which was actually founded in 1689 with the idea of making muskets as you can still see the "Gun Sight View" in their logo. They came into Motorcycle Manufacturing in 1903, when they manufactured their first "Husky" bikes by using imported engines, but only for 15 Years. After 1918, Husqvarna started producing their own engines entirely in-house. In 1920, they established their own engine factory and designed their very first 550 cc four strokes, 50-degree side-valve, V-twin engine. And, after competing in Grand Prix road racing with their 350 cc and 500 cc classes, Husqvarna became the Largest Motorcycle Manufacturer in Sweden in 1939. If you look at their latest models Vitpilen and Svartpilen, you'll feel the difference. As they quote it, "Simple. Progressive". The chromium-molybdenum-steel trellis frame, stripping away all unnecessary gimmicks to make it lightweight and allows seamless movement. A perfect mixture of Classic thinking and modern design. For more Inspiration check the "World's ultimate Motorcycle Museums"
Things you should know about Husqvarna India Bikes before buying:
  • The Vitpilen 401 is a cafe racer motorcycle which means that it's lightweight and lightly powered, highly optimized for speed. That means it's only meant for short distance rides.
  • The Svartpilen 401 is a type of a scrambler motorcycle which has a similar frame as that of KTM. Scrambler motorcycles or Motocross are those motorcycles that are used for racing on closed off-road tracks with a bunch of barriers! Since it's for short distance rides, scramblers have a relatively smaller fuel tank. So lightweight and compact are two aspects that the Svartpilen wins at!
  • The Svartpilen 401 is capable of giving high-speed jumps, all thanks to its long travel suspension.
  • The Vitpilen 401 and the Svartpilen are both leveled a niche above the KTM.
  • Both the Husqvarna India bikes, Vitpilen and Svartpilen, will be priced a little over 20% of that of KTM 390 series.
