Map The World Episode 1 | Bangalore

Map The World is a Travel-Centric community formed by ONN Bikes and its main agenda is to promote the spirit of traveling among aspiring Travelers and Bikers. Check out our first Travel Talk - Map The World Episode 1 in Bangalore with these awesome Travel Enthusiasts. We just opened our doors to people who are beginning to explore new places and are looking for someone to guide them naturally. We believe that reading about how to travel and where to travel merely ignites the thirst to travel. What people usually miss out on while conducting their survey is a human touch. This is where we fit in! [caption id="attachment_1739" align="aligncenter" width="960"] Mr. Manju Acharya[/caption] We aim to bridge the gap between aspiring travelers and people who've had enough experience on the field that they're basically unbeatable! Hence, the underlying idea here is to bring together a group of like-minded people and provide a general, unbiased platform for interactive sessions about traveling and biking. On Sunday the 14th January 2018, we gathered force at one of our favorite cafes to hang out in Bangalore - Moto Store and Cafe, Ulsoor and accelerated our thirst to reach out to as many people as we can!  [caption id="attachment_1746" align="aligncenter" width="960"] Ms. Prathima Hebbar[/caption] 4 insanely talented speakers were generous enough to stop by on an early Sunday morning to enlighten the attendees a little about travel photography and a lot more on just traveling for fun. The talk began with the ever-so-amazing Mr. Mahesh Srinivas who is an absolute pro with capturing the essence of a place in a photograph. [caption id="attachment_1748" align="aligncenter" width="898"] Mr. Mahesh Srinivas[/caption] Now we know that photography and travel are synonymous with each other and you become a wonderful storyteller with photographs accompanying each of your travel snippets! Mr. Srinivas not only broadened our perspective about traveling as a photographer but also threw light on some super handy travel hacks for people who have trouble with baggage. [caption id="attachment_1745" align="aligncenter" width="960"] Ms. Manvi Gandotra[/caption] Followed by Mr. Manju Acharya, Karnataka's beloved wildlife photographer, things got way more interesting than we thought it would! He showed us some of his great works and it took us a little time to accept the fact that these kinds of creatures exist here in India. He also showed us how to photograph a moving subject while traveling and how to stay patient all the long. His awareness campaigns for Karnataka Forest Cell and various other organizations made us extremely cautious about traveling into the wild, just on a whim. Knowing which animal or bird lives where is a huge challenge and Mr. Acharya has beautifully made us all understand the amount of respect we need to have for our fellow earthlings! Soon after a short refreshment break, Ms. Manvi Gandotra who's the founder of 1Plus1 Studio took us to Vietnam through her stunning photographs. Her travel journal is unbelievable - the colors, people, food and everything about the place in a series of images completely shook us! She highlighted the importance of being a storyteller when it comes to photography and we completely agree. Her way of capturing a moment during her adventures is way different from what a tourist would usually take and this definitely opened our eyes to new ways of seeing a place. After Ms. Manvi introduced a new perspective to travel photography, Ms. Prathima Hebbar took over the stage and made us all feel the wind on the flying carpet! Being a bike enthusiast, she has faced more judgement in a single day than you can possibly imagine. Listening to how she overcame all these barriers over time, we were left absolutely stunned. It made us think of how the other female bikers must have passed these barriers - true salute to these inspirational women. This is exactly what Map The World is all about - sharing real stories of people who've achieved great things in life. With these 'episodes', we hope to reach out to as many people as we can and inspire their inner travel bugs to wriggle out and see the light.
